Untitled (2), Acrylic resin on washi paper, carbon fiber rods 4 x 44 x 67 cm
The pair of white forms reminiscent of flattened cardboard boxes holding thin carbon fiber rods bent like lines in a pencil scribble, is a joint work by Mikko Kuorinki and Elina Vainio. Working through instinctive notations of the mundane and the fragmented, both artists share an interest in the evocative depths of language and in how things shape their surroundings and are shaped by them.
